Homosexuality has been shrouded in secrecy and controversy in India and all over the world since a long time. With modern opinion changing about homosexuality, more content creators are making films about the problems that homosexuals have faced. Pari & Pinnocchio is one of them. Here’s our complete review of the short film.

The short film is about a young woman entrepreneur who’s looking for a perfect place for her office. When she finally finds such a place, she discovers that the shop was owned by a young man she had met in her childhood. As she tries to find out why the shop is on sale, she goes on a journey that she didn’t exactly intend to.

What’s wowThe film handles a bold subject with a good story. The characters and the incident remain with the audience – something that’s very good for short films, what with the decreased screen time the characters have. The screenplay takes time out to point out several problems -like the size obsessed society that we live in. Some of the meta ideas are good, like the casual gender swapping in theatre, etc.

What’s Blah : While the story is good, the direction and the screenplay fail to deliver. The screenplay isn’t cohesive, so that means the characters are essentially time-traveling from times in college to modern times.
