Jackie Shroff has been at the forefront of the mainstream exodus into the streaming world. He started it with short films like Khujli and Shunyata. He is also part of the Hotstar Original Criminal Justice. His latest short film, Raat Baaki Baat Baaki dropped on YouTube recently, and this is the complete review.

Jackie Shroff plays Prakash Malhotra, an old man who is friends with the younger group of his building. He spends his evenings drinking and passing time with them. Of course, they have now come closer to each other and everyone knows everyone’s problem, but Prakash is still an enigma. How the youngsters find out who Prakash is, is what forms the rest of the film.

What’s Wow : The concept of two generations being friends with each other is novel. Jackie Shroff is one of the few actors who still has a lot many performances left in him. We just hope the right directors come with the perfect scripts for this man, who’s by now a legend in his own right.

What’s Blah : The main culprit is the script. Jackie Shroff is a phenomenal performer and he needs very dramatic and intense scripts – and this is not one of them. The supporting cast is also nothing to write home about.
