Royal Stag Large Short Films has done some good stuff down the line. Today, it launched its short film, Sparsh, that stars Kay Kay Menon, Prashant Narayanan, Puja Gupta and others. Here’s our complete review of this short film.

A police officer, (Kay Kay), is on his nightly roundup., After handling a freak accident, he is contacted by a woman who’s blaming her cab driver of touching her inappropriately. What seems to be an open and shut case unravels into an interesting journey of human aspects like nervousness, disgust and the blindness that comes with the need of revenge and redemption.

What’s Wow: Sparsh has an earthy, everyday story but almost every sequence leads to a twist. With experienced actors like Kay and Prashant at the fore, this film makes for a thrilling, entertaining ride. The best part of the script is that it takes everyday occurrences and uses it to weave a story with great depth, creating an entertaining experience for the audience. Ankoosh Bhat excels as a director and keeps the pace fast and the antecedents quirky enough to let even the most hardened audiences smile a bit. Priya Ranjan Panigrahi, the writer, creates a great story.
