Large Short Films Maya Review: An interesting psychological thriller

Maya is a short film about a mild mannered man who meets an interesting, intellectual girl. He falls for her, but doesn’t have the guts to say that he does. He then takes a drastic step that might not be the best or even right.

Maya is a new, unique look at love and makes for good viewing. The performances are good. The lead actor does a good job of playing the Jekyll and Hyde concept. The director Anniruddha Roy Chaudhary does a good job of marrying this concept to the concept of unsaid love.

What also works is the time setting of the short film. It is based in the nineties and is a hark to those times.

What’s wow: The psychological thriller genre has few listings in the streaming world and this one is a good addition.

Whats Blah: While the screenplay and the concept is good, the story could have had a better ending.

Parting shot: This is a good endeavour..
