After an astounding first season, which has also marked by a lot of controversies, Netflix’s most famous web series 13 Reasons Why has made a comeback for a second season. The story moves forward from where it left in the first season and there’s much more information available for the audiences.
Hannah continues to talk to Clay about all that she felt and even answers a few questions that Clay raises to her. At school, students are barred from discussing Hannah’s suicide and Alex’s suicide attempt. Meanwhile, the court proceedings reveal a lot more to the audiences as more and more students decide to testify against Bryce.
What’s WOW? The series starts with a disclaimer that it doesn’t glorify suicide, but is instead trying to create awareness about what young kids with troubles go through.
What’s Blah? Just like with season 1, even season 2 leaves us with the question that what is the need to cover barbaric acts such as sexual assault and rape in full detail. There are some graphic flashbacks and some new assaults too that may make the audiences uncomfortable.
Parting Shot: 13 Reasons Why season 2 will definitely find an audience in the younger generation, which is its target group.
Cast: Dylan Minnette, Katherine Langford, Christian Navarro, Alisha Boe, Brandon Flynn, Justin Prentice
13 Reasons Why season 2 is now streaming on Netflix
