The Nanavati case has inspired generations of film makers. In the seventies, we had a film based on the sensational murders, starring Vinod Khanna, Achanak. Recently, we had Rustom, which starred Akshay Kumar in the titular role.

Now, Manav Kaul will star in a web series that apparently will talk about the murder but will also give a background of all the people involved, including the lawyers. The lawyers include Ram Jethmalani.

During a recent media interaction, Manav Kaul said that he was entirely taken in by the bizarreness of the situation and said that nobody can write this kind of fiction. He said that the story of the web series will not just cover Nanavati but also the story of the wife, her paramour Prem Ahuja and the lawyers as well.

Along with Manav, the web series State Vs Nanavati also stars Makrand Deshpande and Saurabh Shukla.
