We grew up listening to fairytale love stories that always ended with a happily forever after. But is that true in the real world? Relationships seem to be uncomplicated at face-value, because love is meant to be unconditional, unbreakable and unquestionable. But, sometimes – love fails only to be reborn again, it breaks bonds to forge new ones and it destroys lives but still brings hope!
This Valentine’s Day, MX Player brings you uncomplicated love stories with the launch of its latest MX Original Series – Pawan and Pooja. This relationship drama explores the lives of 3 couples – all coincidentally named Pawan and Pooja, who, at different stages of their lives discover that their love is indeed conditional, breakable and questionable.
Bound by trust and now in their 60’s – Pawan and Pooja Kalra (Deepti Naval and Mahesh Manjrekar) decide to make a Regret List and mark off all that they couldn’t in their young age. Battling a stagnant marriage in their 40’s, Pawan (Sharman Joshi) and Pooja Mehra (Gul Panag) have loved none other but each other, however – that love is no longer the same. In their 20s’s, Pawan Srivastav (Taaruk Raina) and Pooja Maheshwari (Natasha Bharadwaj) love their online friends and the virtual world above themselves but for how long? These complex relationships and their even more complex emotions are all brought alive in this 10 episodic series examines the complexities of the one emotion that connects us all: LOVE.

Essaying the role of his wife Pooja, Gul Panag said, “My character Pooja Mehra is feisty, she’s a strong headed independent woman and she does not let conventions rule her. She always wants to make things work, no matter what the cost and this is trait of hers is something that I could relate to as well.”
Playing the youngest Pawan Srivastav, Taaruk Raina said, “All of us have a Pawan and Pooja within themselves – it is the story of every couple in love; the phases, complexities, disagreements that they face. Our characters resemble people who you may know in your social circle and I’m sure a lot of youngsters will be able to empathize with our digital dilemma.”
Natasha Bharadwaj concluded saying, “Pooja Maheshwari is caught up in the web of life where the digital world takes over real human connections. Watch me, Pooja going through the rigmarole! I’ve had an unbelievable time shooting with my directors, producers, the entire cast and crew! We bring to you unconventional love!”
