What’s there for weekend binge?

The various OTT platforms are adding an interest set of films that one should definitely watch over the weekend. Without further ado, here’s a list of ten films that are now available for your weekend binge.


  1. Tactical Force

Everyone knows the WWE star Dwayne Johnson has made his career in Hollywood, but his in-ring partner Steve Austin has some decent films himself. He starred in Tactical Force, an actioner with some good action sequences. That film is available on Netflix now.

  1. Laxmi and Tikli Bomb:

This woman oriented film is about sex workers who try to get along with each other and survive in the big bad city. The film is an engrossing experience and has some great experiences – Laxmi and Tikli Bomb was screened first in the festival circuit and won a lot of critical acclaim and praise. This film is now available on Netflix.

  1. Gigli

One of the most infamous box office bombs, this film could be a reference point for film industry fans who’d like to know how a big film might fail. This film being on Netflix proves that popular as well as infamous titles might get a second life on the streaming platforms. The film stars Ben Affleck before his Bat-maning days.

  1. The Firm

And before Tom Cruise was jumping out of windows and climbing helicopters to save the world, he was an attorney trying to find himself, even as his married life was being torn apart due to professional differences. The Firm is based on John Grisham’s novel of the same name and is another film that Tom and John worked together on, the other one being The Pelican Brief.

Amazon Prime:

  1. Angrezi Main Kehte Hai

Amazon Prime has put the brakes on getting new content on their streaming site after last weeks’ jamboree with the Amazon Prime Days. However, we still get  a bitter sweet, earthy film starring Sanjay Mishra.


  1. Kabali:

Streaming comes to Rajnikanth with Kabali. Rajnikaanth’s other film, Kaala is also available on the streaming platforms. Kabali generated a lot of hype and curiosity when it released. So, if audiences want to know what the film is all about, this is the time.


  1. Housefull 3:

Housefull 3 is the third part of the popular franchise and stars Abhishek Bachchan along with Aakshay Kumar. The third part wasn’t that well received, so audiences can gauge for themselves what went wrong.


  1. Baadshaho:

Bollywood crime capers come to Hotstar. This Ajay Devgn, Emraan Haashmi and Vidyut Jamwal starrer is now available for Bollywood fans all over the world – one of the few Bollywood crime capers available. Watch this one for the engrossing action sequences.

  1. Yaariyan:

The runaway hit that launched careers of Himash Kohli is also streaming on Yaariyan now. This was also the directorial debut of Divya Khosla Kumar.
