The web series is being launched piecemeal, so this review is what we could gauge from the first two episodes. Sumeet Vyas plays the owner of a digital agency, and that digital agency is going down. His female business partner is walking out along with several clients.
Seems like a cliched story, but there’s something new – Sumeet’s character has a social anxiety disorder – so talking to people via drones and using umbrellas to stay away from human interaction forms part of the screenplay. Then there’s his brother – a seemingly ambitious guy who thinks the next big app is his.
What’s Wow: The concept is a good one and it becomes better because of the addition – that the boss has a social disorder. There was always this risk that it would become crass or lack humour, but the director does a good job of doing it. The performances are good, and Gopal Datt steals the show with his caricature of possibly the oldest employee of the office.
What’s Blah: Nothing
Parting Shot: Official CEOgiri is a good addition to Arre’s inventory of digital content.
Cast: Sumeet Vyas, Sunny Kaushal, Aahana Kumra, Pranay Manchanda, Eisha Chopra, Gopal Datt and Preeti Sharma
