Vivek Agnihotri’s short film wins Dada Saheb Phalke for Best Actor

After the hullabaloo over the extremely controversial political drama Buddha In A Traffic Jam last year, Filmmaker Vivek Agnihotri’s Mohammad and Urvashi yet another controversially titled short film is ready to make heads turn. The film which was primarily shot in the Rann of Kutch is the Director’s first short which has already bagged the prestigious Dada Saheb Phalke Award in the Best Actor category.

Citylight actor Khushboo Upadhyay will be in an interesting avatar in the film along with the award winning performer Mayukh Ray who is also the co-producer.

Agnihotri announced the news on social media tweeting “Happy to announce my first short film ‘Mohammad and Urvashi’ has bagged Dadasaheb Phalke award. Best Actor for Mayukh Ray. It’s also one year of ‘Buddha in a Traffic Jam'”.
