  • Vir Das’s Stand Up Routine, Losing It, will stream on Netflix from December 11.

Vir Das will soon take centre stage with the Netflix Stand Up Original Losing It. He becomes one of the few Indians to have taken the global stage of stand up entertainment. This time, he leaves no stone unturned and the trailer is a direct, brazen attack on the patriarchy that’s prevalent and still being normalised in Indian media. This episode streams from December 11.

Vir Das has been a strong, blunt voice of new media and has taken up cudgels against everything that’s wrong with Indian society on the global stage. He has been part of some interesting films as well, including Go, Goa, Gone, India’s first zombie comedy that became a roaring success. He has been part of mainstream films like Shivaay, Patel ki Punjabi Shaadi, Shaadi ke Side Effects and Love Aaj Kal as well. His fame soared with films like Go Goa Gone, Delhi Belly, Love Aaj Kal and others.

Speaking about it, Vir said, “Losing It has been written basis my experiences of travel, politics amongst other things. I’m excited to see what the audience’s response is when it releases next week. I’m hoping it gets the same love the audiences gave Abroad Understanding”.

Interestingly, Vir is one of the few independent stand up comics who are all over the streaming entertainment scene. Watch the trailer here:
