Twitter India has partnered with brands across different segments, to stream “In Stream Video Ads” in the country. First in this league are Amazon, Maruti and Motorola with their Diwali campaigns and new product launches.
Twitter offers 15 content categories for brands to choose from, thereby making the solution scalable across premium content consumed on the platform. The micro-blogging platform has approximately 328 million users globally.
The platform first launched these ads in the US in April this year as it ramped up its investment in video and content. Earlier this month, Twitter announced its first exclusive original live programming in the UK Twitter’s 2017 IAB Digital Upfronts.
In September, Twitter pitched 16 live video shows to advertisers, wherein majority of these shows require an advertiser commitment to help foot the bill.
