Tripling is one of TVF’s first ultra-successful web series. The first season was a benchmark for creators of viral content. TVF has now launched the second season in the franchise. Here is our complete review of Tripling 2
The second season starts with Chandan becoming a successful author but missing his siblings. As luck would have it, he meets his younger brother, Chitwan in the most inopportune of circumstances, in a public washroom. Add to that, he has a baby boy strapped to his chest – and he proclaims that he is the father of the baby boy. Even as Chandan tries to decipher what’s going on, he is kidnapped – lovingly – by his sister, Chanchal. As that tale unravels, all the siblings must go on another forced road trip.
What’s Wow : The USP of the first season was the warm camaraderie among the siblings – and that remains warm and frothy this time around too. Add to that Nidhi Bisht’s character and the addition of Kubbra Sait’s, and you have a winner on your hands. The series has a cracker of a script and hilarious dialogues. The comedy sequences are classic and will get the required laughs.
Of the characters, Amol Parashar is the younger sibling that everyone loves to hate – the guy who has a unique, mildly dangerous life. Sumeet Vyas as the confused, nervous elder brother is as usual, fantastic. Maanvi Gagroo does justice to her character. Maanvi has been showing the versatility of a seasoned actress, with the kind of roles that she’s doing. She played her characters in Four More Shots Please and 377 Ab Normal with elan. The other kicker is Kubbra Sait as Chitwan’s lawyer girlfriend.
Another positive point is the story arc. Most of the times, we see story arcs in web series that aren’t very consistent but Tripling 2 isn’t one of them. The kicker in the script is the main story – that is equal parts caper and a warm, bonding story and something that the audiences will connect with today.
What’s Blah : Nothing
Parting Shot : Tripling 2 is a great binge watch that will have you call up your siblings.
