A transgender YouTube channel wants to change your perception about them

TransVision is a YouTube channel that wants to change the perception of transgenders. The channel is the brainchild of  Hyderabad based transrights activists Rachana Mudraboyina and Moses Tulasi.

TransVision currently streams in Telugu but the channel will soon have the Urdu and Kannada versions, according to reports.

The web series will have eight episodes and each will be under 10 minutes. Some will even go below 5 minutes. We have earlier spoken to short film directors who confirm that 7 minutes is the sweet spot when it comes to short films catering to the Indian audiences.

The producers of the series are also looking for funding – either crowd  funding or traditional funding. In a media interaction, they said that each episode takes about 10000 to shoot and edit, and they are putting in their own money into the project.

They aim to provide scientific and factual information about transgender people.  The first episode on the web series, ‘aAA eEE Anjali’ is an informational web film that’s under 5 minutes.  You can watch the first episode of the series here:
