Tigmanshu Dhulia makes web series debut with Indian version of crime drama Criminal Justice

One of the most well-known directors of Bollywood, Tigmanshu Dhulia is all set to make his web series debut with the web series that’s the Indian version of Criminal Justice. The original series traces the journey of a common man through the justice system – something that will be of definite interest to the Indian audiences.  BBC Studios India produces the Indian version of the series.

The yet unnamed web series stars Jackie Shroff, Vikrant Massey, Pankaj Tripathi, Mita Vashist and Anupriya Goenka. Jackie Shroff has earlier given stellar performances in short films like Khujli and Shunyata.

Dhulia has given Indian audiences some of the best crime dramas. Films like Bandit Queen, Bombay Blues, Haasil, Charas, Family: Ties of Blood, Shagird, Saheb Biwi aur Gangster, the Gangs of Wasseypur series as well as Paan Singh Tomar had scripts with a generous smattering of crime and criminals. He now brings his craft to the streaming platforms – something that will definitely interest audiences.

Sridhar Raghavan will adapt the popular series, he has earlier written Khakhee, considered to be one of the best cop films in Bollywood. That film starred Amitabh Bachchan, Akshay Kumar, Aishwarya Rai, Tusshar Kapoor and others.
