Brad Pitt is known for taking up only the quirkiest of projects, and his upcoming ‘War Machine’, a Netflix Original might be his quirkiest.

Pitt plays an Army general, Gen. Dan McMahon a character loosely based on Stanley A. McChrystal, who was appointed to lead all forces in Afghanisthan. The film stars Brad Pitt, Anthony Michael Hall, Topher Grace, Will Poulter, Tilda Swinton, Jonathan Ing and Ben Kingsley. Ben Kingsley is portraying the then Afghanisthan President Hamid Karzai.

The film is based on the book ‘The Operators: The Wild and Terrifying Inside Story of America’s War in Afghanistan’, written by the American Journalist Michael Hastings.

Brad Pitt put ups an amazing performance as a man who’s given an unenviable task, something that he is bound by duty to perform and complete. This film has one of the most star-studded cast that Netflix has launched in recent times.  We are impressed by the concept chosen as well as the tone of the film – the subtlest of humor for the most serious problem that the world is facing – war. The film releases on 26 May on Netflix.
