Netflix is dabbling in something that is politically incorrect right now – a film about a dad teaching his son how to hunt a Whitetail deer. In the era of vegetarianism and veganism and what not, it’s interesting to see that Netflix is putting money on a film that’s essentially about a dad teaching his son how to kill – and making a family friendly film out of it.
Jody Hill directs and the film stars Josh Brolin, Danny McBride, Scoot McNairy and Monana Jordan. The Legacy of a Whitetail Deer Hunter was launched at the South by Southwest festival in 2018 and right now, it has average rating over at IMDB.
Josh Brolin became universally famous with his Thanos and Cable roles in the Marvel films, but audiences will be surprised to see his family-comedy outing where he isn’t snapping fingers or anything. Netflix is going into the family comedy way with this film, and that makes it an interesting outing.
