The Haunting of Hill House comes to Netflix and it’s creepy

The Haunting of Hill House is one of the best literary ghost stories. The Shirley Jackson novel has inspired a tv series and a play and now comes to Netflix as a web series. Mike Flanagan creates this web series which will release on October 12, this year.

The series stars Michiel Huisman, Carla Gugino, Henry Thomas, Elizabeth Reaser, Kate Siegel, Timothy Hutton, Oliver Jackson-Cohen, Lulu Wilson, Victoria Pedretti, Violet McGraw, Paxton Singleton and Julian Hilliard.

The trailer has the children ask their mother whether she will wake up them up from a bad dream and looks promising.  As far as the trailer is concerned, the director has kept the retro, chilling horror feel. Let’s see how this one pans out.

The series is about a family that lives in a house that’s allegedly haunted, and then invite others who are interested in the supernatural aspect of it all.  Flanagan is a respected name in the world of horror, with films lie Gerald’s Game, Hush and Before I Wake to his credit. He has also directed films like Oculus and Ouija: Origin of Evil.
