Swanand Kirkire juggles all three- production, lyrics and acting in his short Toyhouse.

It has been confirmed that multi-talented star lyricist, singer, writer and actor Swanand Kirkire’s short film ‘Toyhouse’ has been accepted in Festival de Cannes 2017 and will be presented at the Short Film Corner at Cannes this May.

Swanand has produced the short film which is essentially a drama focusing on identity and migration. True to his vocation, he has also written a beautiful poem which is now an integral part of the short film. The film has been directed by filmmaker Akram Hassan, who was associated with Aamir Khan Productions earlier as an assistant director.

Swanand Kirkire has shared space with Zeeshan Ayyub in the film, the latter being the protagonist. Zeeshan Ayyub is known for his performances in Raanjhana, Tanu Weds Manu Returns, Raees and more.
