Televisa, Spanish-language TV content producer, has struck a multi-series deal with Amazon Prime Video to create premium programming with an emphasis on multicultural characters.
With this deal, Amazon continues to invest in content and will increase its reach in Latin America, where it is currently available from Mexico to Argentina. Interestingly, Televisa launched its own streaming service blim in 2016.
In India, Amazon Prime has been investing in content too. It is gearing up to release The Remix, on March 9. The 10 webisode reality series will have the contestants explore different themes like ambient sounds, retro remixes, live instrumentation, sounds of India, global beats. One team will be crowned the winner of The Remix and the new faces of Indian music walking away as The Remix title winner and INR 50 lakhs.
The streaming service forayed into the Indian digital space with Inside Edge and is now gearing up to release season 2 of the famous series, looking to stream it sometime in 2019.
