SonyLIV is on a tie-up spree. The digital entity has tied up with Videocon d2h and Whistling Woods for content. Videocon d2h will now show the SonyLIV app on their HD Smart Connect Set Top Boxes. SonyLIV has already tied up with Whistling Woods to stream the short films that students from the school will make. Some of the short films made by the students have already gained good reviews on YouTube. The films that will be streamed by SonyLIV under this arrangement are produced by Connect1, a digital venture owned by Mukta Arts.
SonyLIV is also in the process of creating more of its original content. It launched its 3rd webseries, ‘Lost & Found’ in July last year. Previously, it launched two web series, one in August 2015, titled #LoveBytes and another, titled Shutter in October of the same year.
Earlier this month, SonyLIV tied up with Web Talkies, a digital content company for their digital content. There were reports earlier that 3 of their web series will be streamed on SonyLIV. That number has increased to 7 now. The series added are ‘Current 440 volts’, ‘Gang of Big Boys’, ‘Border Border’, ‘Samadhan ki Samasya’ and ‘Mushaira Unplugged’.
