Short Films win big at the 10th International Documentary and Short Film Festival in Kerala

The 10th International Documentary and Short Film Festival in Kerala came to an end with an awards ceremony. The documentary awards were won by Avijith Mukul Kishore, Rohan Shivkumar and Soz for ‘Nostalgia for the Future’. ‘A Ballad of Maladies’, directed by Tushar Madahav and Sarvnik Kaur won for best long documentary. The films shared the 1 lakh prize money. ‘The Books We Made’ by Uma Tanaku and Anupama Chandra won a special mention along with ‘Of Love & Artistry’. Ranjan Palit won the best documentary cinematographer award on behalf of Navroze Contractor for ‘In paise of that angel face’.  Sangeet Unni’s ‘Rooms’ won the best campus film produced in Kerala. Another winners are:

‘Fish Curry’ by Abhishek Verma won the best animation film.

‘Days of Autumn’ directed by Mukul Haloi won best short fiction.

‘Grandfather’ directed by Amar Kaushik won the jury prize for short fiction.
