  • Sayani Gupta has another winner on her hands with Tu.
  • Open Ending climaxes come to the streaming platforms.

Royal Stag’s Large Short Films is known to bring engaging content. With Tu, writer director brings the open-ended short films to the fore. The short film talks about a very relevant issue – inter caste marriages and the incessant danger that interfaith couples face – even after decades of Indian independence.

Sayani Gupta and Arjun Radhakrishnan play the aforementioned couple, who are having some me time, hidden from everyone. The screenplay reveals the backstory peel by peel, and that makes for interesting viewing.  Its the climax that will jolt the audience with a quick dose of reality check.

What’s Wow: Sayani Gupta and Arjun Radhakrishnan are the only actors on screen, and they revel in their characters. It is rare for actors to swing from emotions like intimacy to stark fear within a matter of minutes, but both succeed in bringing that to the fore. Sayani is doing some great things with the streaming platform. Her other short film, Detour, also had a heart-warming story. Only this time, the story that Tu tells is a chilling one.

What’s Blah: Nothing.

Parting Shot: Open Ending climax comes to streaming with Tu.
