Sara Arjun, Raj Arjun’s daughter gives an interesting portrayal in the short film The Perfect Girl.

Short films are at their essence, quick, relevant stories that need to be told in an intriguing manner. That makes short films a lot more of an effort that audiences would generally think they are.  Many short films miss the mark by being either too long, too short, or even because the concept hasn’t been brought out nicely. But then, comes along a short film that hits the right spots on all three – a good concept, a heart-warming story, and great screenplay – and this time it’s The Perfect Girl.

The Perfect Girl is about a young girl, a fisherman’s daughter, who catches the interest of a local dance teacher, who sees her potential. Little does he know that the girl is hearing-impaired. But that’s a small matter when humans come together to beat the odds, right?

The Perfect Girl is already a festival circuit darling, with it winning or being winning special mentions in several film festivals all over the country and the world.

What’s Wow: The Perfect girl is a beautifully shot film. The director and the cinematographer succeed in gathering the essence of the story – without making it look over the top. The performances by Sara Arjun, Raj Arjun and Vinod Rawat bring out the core of this warm, bittersweet story. Sara Arjun, daughter of Raj Arjun is a revelation and shows potential. Of course, Raj Arjun has proven himself with the negative role that he’s played in Aamir Khan’s Secret Superstar.

What’s Blah: Nothing.
