Drishyam Films Gujarati short film Rammat Gammat debuts at 64th International Short Film Festival

Drishyam Films has given us some of the most interesting films in our time. They started out with Aankhon Dekhi in 2014 and then followed it with films like Masaan, X, Umrika, Dhanak, Waiting, Newton, Rukh and Kadvi Hawa. Now, the company is making their foray with a Gujarati short film, titled Rammat Gammat.

The short film stars newcomers Shivam Math and Yash Patel. Along with them, the short film also stars Swati Das, who was earlier seen in the films Hindi Medium and Bombay Talkies. Rammat Gammat is about two friends in rural India, one from a poor background and another from a rich one. Life changes for them when one of them is gifted a pair of golden yellow football studs.  The short film will have a time duration of 18 minutes.

Ajitpal Singh writes and directs this short film. He has earlier worked as an Associate Director for Gurgaon and dialogue writer for Once Again in 2017.  Oberhausen is the world’s oldest running short film festival and has discovered the works of several film-makers like Wim Wenders, Roman Polanski, Martin Scorsese, Werner Herzog, Andrea Arnold and a few more. Earlier, the Indian directors like Ritesh Batra, Amit Datta showed their films like Café Regular, Cairo, Keshkambli and Kramasha.

Rammat Gammat will now be shown at the 64th International Short Film Festival, one of the oldest running short film festivals, that will take place in Oberhausen.  Watch the trailer here:
