Kashmir is still a festering wound for Indians. The issue picks up every now and then. Now, Palash Sen comes up with a film that talks about a couple that meets years after an incident that changes their life forever. The man joins the army and the woman decides to live her life as it is supposed to be.

What’s Wow: This is one of the few short films that capture the essence of not just Kashmir but also the brutality that it has experienced.

The performances are perfect and the actors bring forth the aspect of an innocence lost because of external circumstances.

What this short film has, though, is the inevitable undercurrent of survival and tolerance to everything that is wrong with the world.

What’s Blah: We didn’t find anything negative about the film.

Parting Shot:  Jiya Jaye is a short film that everyone needs to see. Jiya Jaaye is a TheDigitalHash.com must-watch
