Last year Shah Rukh Khan got associated with Dubai Tourism by endorsing them to help them regulate an influx of travelers to their land. Produced by Dubai’s Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (Dubai Tourism), the short film which is a sequel to “Be My Guest” is being directed by Kabir Khan whose upcoming film Tubelight is already in the news for all the right and wrong reasons. Shah Rukh Khan who will be seen in a special cameo in Kabir Khan’s feature will be sharing screen space with Salman after almost a decade.
Meanwhile, a video of Shah Rukh Khan being welcomed by the people at Dubai Tourism has gone viral on Twitter. In the video we have the superstar talking about how he enjoyed working on “Be My Guest”. After it’s launch in December 2016, #BeMyGuest successfully generated 45 million views across multiple social media channels as well as 65 million engagements from around the world. #BeMyGuest topped the chart as No.3 on YouTube’s worldwide trending list within 48 hours of its launch, becoming one of the top 10 most viewed videos on the website globally in the same month.
The film, critically acclaimed all the same bagged international awards including the Grand Prix at the International Tourism Film Festival, “Tourfilm Riga” held in Latvia and the Diamond Award at ITB Berlin’s “Golden City Gate” tourism awards.
