Short Film: Camouflage

Reading Time: 1 minute

Royal Stag Barrel Select Large Short Films’ Camouflage is the story of two elite commandos, caught in an endless war owing to their spiritual duties. Purab Kohli plays Balram, while digital star Sumeet Vyas plays Krishna.

The film is placed in the current scenario, wherein India is fighting violations and insurgencies in Jammu and Kashmir, though where exactly are the commandos posted is not mentioned anywhere in the short.

The two commandos are having some free time and discuss about war. While Purab likes to fight carefully and wait for the right time, Sumeet is the eternal warrior who believes some wars have to be fought immediately. Through some careful shots, the short tells many tales.

What’s WOW? This is one of the few genuinely ‘short films’ that I have seen in the recent past. In a matter of less than 10 mins you are transported to many realms with just one story.

What’s Blah? There’s nothing unappealing about the short.

Parting Shot: Camouflage will make you think about the current military scenario and also the importance of wars. The Mahabharat connection, Camouflage makes is very relevant not just in political cars, but on a personal level too.

Director: Aman Dhaiya

Cast: Purab Kohli, Sumeet Vyas
