T Series has come up with its very first short film- Bulbul. Bulbul is a free spirited girl, who is deeply in love with a guy and will go any lengths for him. The problem is that the guy loves another girl. And the two are soon to be married.
Bulbul goes to great levels to woo the guy away from his fiancé. Does she succeed or not, you will have to see Bulbul for that.
What’s Wow? As an attempt, Bulbul deserves appreciation. For a big name like T-Series to venture into a still-nascent arena like short film is a big gamble. The locales are to die for.
What’s Blah? The short film does fall short on innovation and creativity. And that is something that does mar the experience of the audience. Coming from Late director Kundan Shah, the story of this short is definitely interesting. But that doesn’t come across on screen. The Charlie Chaplin treatment of the film – which is surely meant to be the highlight of the film – turns out to be the dampener.
Parting Shot: Bulbul is avoidable, unless you wish to see some good locales on your screen.
