Netflix is working towards bringing unscripted series to their streaming platform. Over this year, the platform has been home to Chris Rock, David Letterman and others for unscripted shows and talk shows.
Now, Netflix is putting its muscle behind Seth Rogen’s Hilarity for Charity, which will be broadcast for the first time. The series will combine stand-up, sketches and music. This will be the sixth annual outing for the series. this time, the artists performing will be James Corden, Tiffany Haddish, Kumail Nanjiani, Sarah Silverman, Nick Kroll, Sacha Baron Cohen, Michelle Wolf, John Mulaney, Jeff Goldblum, Michael Che, The Muppets, Post Malone, Craig Robinson and The Nasty Delicious.
Seth Rogen is one of the few new generation content creators who forged the envelope for quirky, frothy entertainment that not just entertained but also made people think about the various issues that people face, by talking about it with the help of unique and entertaining content.
The series is meant to raise awareness for Alzheimer’s, and the show’s goal is to educate the younger audience about the mental condition.
