Admirers of Richa Chaddha’s acting prowess are spread far and wide. Another boy from the same family is here to showcase his skills now. Richa’s younger brother Pranav is a musician and will break grounds in the industry as a music director with the actor’s first home production.

Richa was looking for a unique background score for the period film and Pranav has readily contributed to the vision.

Talking about her brother, Richa said, “Everyone thinks I am talented. That’s because they haven’t met my brother yet. He plays the piano, flute and the guitar a bit and he sings. This is my debut production and I wanted an authentic sound, hence I requested him to do the background music for it. Hope people like what they hear”.

The short film Khoon Aali Chithi based on terrorism in the 1980’s and 90’s during the Khalistan movement in Punjab will be directed by Richa’s close friend Rupinder Inderjit. He will explore the of the social turbulence that dictated the era and the impact it had on the common people.

Richa Chadha was born in Punjab’s Amritsar at a time when the Khalistan insurgence was gaining momentum. Owing to the increasing tension, Richa had to leave her home town at the age of two, and shift base to Delhi with her family.

This subject is therefore close to Richa’s heart and is perfect to mark her entry as a producer.
