Raveena Tandon has been known for being vocal about her opinion. So when it came to the promotion of her upcoming film Maatr – The Mother on The Viral Fever (TVF),  she did not mince her words.

“I was not aware of the controversy as I was in New York and in the middle of a snow storm,” Raveena said in the face of TVF’s Arunabh Kumar being involved in a sexual harassment controversy.

Raveena went on to say, “Our film deals with a very strong message about zero tolerance to any form of violence or abuse against women. The film’s producers and actors feel that until allegations against the producer and the channel are proven wrong, we will refrain from promoting the film or any of the actors appearing on the said show”.

TVF seems to be in trouble maintaining its image in the overtly exposed platform of social media. With multiple women coming out with charges against him, the company will have to find its footing soon. Raveena Tandon is back after a long time and would not like her film Maatr The Mother get associate with any negative image.

Looks like social media has become a very strong voice in itself when it comes to handling social issues both inside its own domain and the society at large.
