After having witnessed a host of Bollywood actors and directors, the digital space is all set to play host to musicians. Rapper Badshah is all set to make his digital debut with a musical web series, which he will be producing under his banner Afterhours for ZEE5 – the recently launched OTT platform by Zee Entertainment.
The series titled Lockdown will feature real life singers. It will have 10 episodes and each episode will have two musicians jamming. Currently, reports reveal that AR Rahman, Raftaar, Arijit Singh, Sonu Nigam and Kailash Kher have been approached to be part of the show. Besides Afterhours, the series will be co-produced by One Digital Entertainment.
It is expected to go on the floors by month-end. The web series will be shot in a four-week schedule across London, Dubai, Croatia and Switzerland. Apart from this web show, Badshah is also mulling to start a talent management program to groom YouTube stars and offer them platforms to showcase their skills.
Music is definitely the ‘in thing’ for online entertainment. TheDigitalHash.com has already reported about Amazon Prime streaming The Remix. You can read the review here
Here’s hoping that there are more musical ventures coming on the web, after all you doesn’t like a bit of music in their lives.
