For a film-maker who finds ‘normal families’ boring, nothing short of gangster dramas make the cut. Excitement, terror, alternate morality, bloodshed and unkempt emotions and dramatic treatment are key to what you can call a regular Ram Gopal Varma gangster film.

For a director who is always on the look out for interesting stories of gangsters, RGV reveals that most of them come through his sources in the police department.

The director is planning to get all that and more to his audience but in a different platform this time. RGV is currently working on a web-series that is based on the underworld and crime. He claims that It is going to be more real than what he has done so far in his series of Gangster Films.

“Guns and Thighs” as the series is reportedly titled is named after the director’s memoir. Varma will explore in his series the larger than life flights and conflicts that swallowed Mumbai’s underworld.

Set in the time when Chota Rajan and Dawood Ibrahim broke up in 1996, RGV said he will essay the killing of 300 gangsters in less than four years marking the end of the notorious underworld.

Daya Nayak, Praful Bhosale, Pradeep Sharma and Sachin Vale are amongst the victims the story will meander around. Ram Gopal Varma says that a good number of flashbacks will supplement the screenplay bringing in the ’80s with Karim Lala, Haji Mastan and others.

The web audience can’t wait to have a taste of ‘Satya’ again if RGV gets his magic touch back.
