Rahul Yadav was the first of the young, aggressive corporate guys who became controversial, along with the company Housing.com.  He started the conversation about yuppie, rich kids who got too much power in their hands too soon. While that controversy died down and people had just begun forgetting about it, there are rumours that Farhan Akhtar and Amazon are planning on a web series based on Rahul Yadav’s life and times in the news cycle. The buzz is that  a script is already being prepared.

This could be a coup for Amazon in their battle against Netflix. Traditionally, films about people in the corporate life have worked in India. Abhishek Bachchan’s career got a booster shot with his portrayal in Mani Rathnam’s ‘Guru’. India’s business stories are few and far between, so this Amazon Prime series will definitely be a rare one. The Indian audience has also lapped up films like ‘The Social Network’ earlier.
