The first season of ‘Pot Luck’, New Zealand’s first lesbian webseries released in 2016 and has since then racked up more than a million views. The show was quite popular among the LGBTQ community and a second season just had to happen.  Now, the production company behind Pot Luck has secured a $100,000 NZD funding from the New Zealand On Air’s Digital Fund.  They will be shooting the second season of the webseries in late 2017. The show is about three lesbian friends , Mel, Debs and Beth,  that talk about the universal themes of friendship, family and finding love.

The first season has been a darling of the festival circuit too. It was the finalist in the LGBT category at the DubWebFest and the NZWebFest. It also won 10 Merit Awards in the LGBT category at the Rome Web Awards.
