India’s women only content platform POPxo is all set to venture into the arena of web series and short movies. It has already entered into the space of Hindi content. The web series will be launched in July this year, this information was revealed by Rana Handa, Chief Business Officer, POPxo in a media interaction.
Further, he revealed that India has over 60 million women content consumers, of which POPxo has reached to over 30 million. The aim is to increase this number to 45 million in the near future.
POPxo mainly receives its consumers from Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities, comprising 50% of its consumers. Overall, the content given out by POPxo is also consumed by men, but women constitute 80% of its content consumers.
The platform comes out with videos, articles and is also into events. Its core target group is the age group of 18-35 years. It plans to diversify to other vernacular languages in the future to reach a wider number of audiences.
