A webseries, ‘My Virgin Diary’ features a song that specifically talks about the experiences one goes through in Delhi University. The song, titled ‘DU Special’ mentions various real life incidents, like the one at the Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), in which students were beaten up. Not just that, the song will also feature the daily struggles of a Delhi University student, like the stress that they go through during the admission process and the infamous canteen clashes.

In a statement, Nalin Singh, the director of the webseries revealed that he had to speak in the Haryanvi as well as the Bihari accent for the song.

Since a few years, mainstream film-makers have taken Delhi as a character in their films. Of course, the University of Delhi features in some films – most popular being ‘Fukrey’.  It is interesting to see that short film makers are following the trend now.
