Now, a web series based on ‘Main Kuch Bhi Kar Sakti Hoon’.

Doordarshan, India’s National Broadcaster will soon find it’s logo on the streaming screens. In 2014, it picked up ‘Main Kuch Bhi Kar Sakti Hoon – I, a woman can achieve anything’. This year, it set a new record for edutainment shows with a whopping 400 million views.

Population Foundation of India, the organisation behind the series now plan to develop edutainment concept for streaming platforms like Vimeo and YouTube.

The show is about Sneha Mathur, a woman doctor who leaves behind her lucrative career in Mumbai and decides to move to her village to work. She comes across several women and she works towards giving quality healthcare to them.

The first season spoke about the gender norms like child marriage, gender selection, domestic violence, reproductive health and family planning. The second season had a more indepth look into aspects like mental health, substance misuse, physical and sexual changes, sanitation and hygiene and other such aspects.

Some of the episodes were inspired from true events , like Ladkuwar Khushwaha, who was the first woman in her village in Madhya Pradesh to attend college.
