If there’s one man who’s doing some excellent work after his mercurial rise in Bollywood, it’s Rishi Kapoor. The actor, who showed some serious acting chops in films like Do Dooni Chaar, Agneepath and others will now be seen in a Netflix Original film, Rajma Chawal.
The trailer of the film just dropped and though the concept is a bit confusing, the crux of the film seems to be this: An old father tries to bond with his son by chatting with him via a social media messenger. Rajma Chawal stars Rishi Kapoor, Aniruddh Tanwar, Aparshakti Khurana and Amyra Dastur. The film premiered at the British Film Institute’s London Film Festival in October.

Netflix is looking deeply at Indian stories. Previously, they had launched Indian Detective, that starred Russel Peters as a foreign cop who comes to India to solve a crime. Next came Sacred Games, the web series that starred Saif Ali Khan, Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Radhika Apte. Netflix also launched Ghoul, the mini web series that was based in a dystopian country and talked about police atrocities.
