Social sharing has been a big part of Internet 2.0. Audiences have informed their social networks what they are watching ever since streaming became big. Netflix has just made it easier – and bit cooler – for audiences to share what they are watching on Netflix.
Netflix users now swipe and share information about what they are watching on the new Instagram Stories. This will allow the post to remain for a day. The feature will be available on the iOS in a day and will be available on the Android platforms soon.
The feature looks good. Once the user shares this, the official artwork will pop up. Others watching the update will be able to view the series, provided they have a Netflix account. This gives a whole lot ‘cooler’ vibe to the aspect of viewers sharing with their social networks what they are watching.
This is smart thinking on Netflix’s part. Viewers on mobile share what they are watching with their social networks – that has what created what we call the ‘online buzz’ after story incidents have taken placed in series.
Some cool news: Starting today, iPhone users can now share what you're watching directly to Instagram stories via the Netflix app! pic.twitter.com/uJXI9zQB0V
