Netflix reveals new details about their web series Ghoul

The first collaboration between Phantom Films and Blumhouse Productions, Ghoul, has already created a buzz. The Radhika Apte and Manav Kaul starrer explores a very different sub-genre in horror, that of prison horror.

The teaser was just that – a teaser of all the gore and blood that the show would have – and now the teaser trailer is as spooky as it’s intriguing. Showing Manav Kaul and Radhika Apte in their characters, the teaser is also the first glimpse of the antagonist – the strange man who’s brought in for interrogation.

This is the first time that Blumhouse, the celebrated horror makers have collaborated with an Indian production house. Going by the previous web series that Phantom was associated with, Sacred Games, we can only say that Ghoul could be the best series to come out of the Indian horror space.

Anurag Kashyap and Vikramaditya Motwane, who head Phantom Films, have won the award in the Best Director category at the Streaming Awards, powered by TheDigitalHash. It remains to be seen how much of collaboration Phantom has actually done with Blumhouse for this one.
