Netflix has dropped the first trailer for the series When They See Us, based on the Central Park Jogger case of the nineties, said to be the most spoken about crime in the nineties. In the nineties, a female jogger was sexually molested and brutally beaten up – which led to the arrest and incarceration of five non-White Americans. In 2002, a serial rapist confessed to the crime, which resulted in the overturning of the judgement. The five, dubbed as the Central Park Five, went on to sue the state and won different amounts of money.
