Netflix renews The Rain for second season

Netflix is betting big on other language content and has added another on it’s kitty, the supernatural thriller The Rain. The Rain is Netflix’s first Danish web series and will now see a second season. The series will go into production this year and will start streaming sometime in 2019. Of course, Netflix is notoriously snappy about release dates of any of their content, so we can’t be very sure about when the series will finally hit the Big N. Jannik Tai Mosholt, Esben Toft Jacobsen and Christian Potalivo create the series. Alba August, Mikkel Boe Folsgaard, Lucas Lyngaard Tonsesen, Lars Simonsen, Sonny Lindberg, Jessica Dinnage, Lukas Lokken and Johannes Kuhnke star.

The premise of the series was that two Danish siblings find out that rain has wiped out almost all humans in Scandinavia and all remnants of civilization are gone. They now join a group of young survivors who search for any signs of life.

The series is another addition to the supernatural, thriller and other language content that Netflix revelling it currently.
