Netflix releases trailer for supernatural teen series The Innocents

Netflix vowed us with the teaser of The Innocents and now the streaming giant has announced the release date of this series along with a trailer.

The supernatural teen series will be coming out on August 24.

The new trailer gives more insight as to what the audiences can expect from the series. As stated earlier, the series centers around June (Sorcha Groundshell) and Harry (Percelle Ascott), two teenagers who run away from their repressive family lives, with nothing but each other and a lot of emotional baggage. But once in London, their life complicates beyond expectations. June finds herself the subject of a kidnap plot, their intentions unknown. Faced with extreme stress her body and identity begin to shift in ways she could have never imagined. The series also stars Guy Pearce as Halvorson.

As per a description by Netflix, “Secrets kept from them by their respective parents test their love to breaking point; and the extraordinary gift they possess unleashes powerful forces intent on dividing them forever.”

The eight-episode UK drama series is created by Hania Elkington and Simon Duric, and is produced by New Pictures.  Chris Croucher serves as producer. Farren Blackburn is executive producer of the series and director.
