Globally, Netflix is acquiring content from newer markets. In India, it is gearing to release its first ever Indian original film Love Per Square Foot. It will release on February 14. This is the first-ever solo venture by Ronnie Screwvala, and he will produce this film under his new production house RSVP. The film stars Vicky Kaushal (as Sanjay Chaturvedi) and Bang Baaja Baaraat fame Angira Dhar (as Karina D’Souza); both are looking for their own place in the ever bustling city of Mumbai. It also stars veteran actors like Ratna Pathak, Supriya Pathak, and Raghuvir Yadav in titular roles.
In the process of playing a couple to get their hands on an apartment, they two start falling for each other. What complicates the matter is that Karina is already engaged to Kunaal Roy Kapoor.
Netflix has had some good reviews for most of its films. Netflix Original Bright which starred Will Smith opened to mixed reviews initially, but overall it has gained positive reviews amongst the viewers.
