After teasing the audiences with the first looks of the lead actors of Sacred Games, Netflix has finally released the teaser of this first Indian web series on Twitter. And it will definitely make you want for more.
The teaser is voiced over by Saif Ali Khan at the start, and he is later joined by Nawazuddin Siddiqui. Both the actors refer to Mumbai as Bambai, which the city was called in the 1990s. The teaser manages to transport you into the 90s underworld of Mumbai. Sacred Games will premieres on Netflix on 6 July.
Set amid the chaos of Mumbai, this epic series explores the corrupt underworld lurking beneath India’s economic renaissance. It stars Saif Ali Khan as Sartaj Singh, Nawazuddin Siddiqui as Gaitonde and Radhika Apte as Anjali Mathur. The 8 webisode series is based on Vikram Chandra’s 2006 thriller novel and is being produced by Phantom Films. The series is being directed by Anurag Kashyap and Vikramaditya Motwane. It will also have a season two.
