Exclusive: Netflix to release Sacred Games in May; season 2 shooting to commence soon

The wait for Netflix’s first ever Indian web series is finally over! TheDigitalHash.com has exclusive news that Sacred Games is all set to release in May this year. This was revealed by Yash Sinha, who is part of the Netflix web series, during an interaction for his recently released SIT’s Bin Bulaye Mehman season 2.

Yash exclusively revealed, “It is a very big and huge format. The first season will be coming out in May.” Sacred Games stars Saif Ali Khan, Radhika Apte, Nawazuddin Siddiqui in pivotal roles. Besides Yash, joining the cast are Karan Wahi, Surveen Chawla, Nawab Shah, Nishant Malkani, and many others. The series is based on the 2006 novel of the same name by Vikram Chandra. It is a crime novel that talks about the crime and corruption in Mumbai city back in the 90s. Yash also revealed, “The second season will be shot for in a few days’ time.”

TheDigitalHash.com has also reported that the series will be a four season affair each being of 8 episodes. Shot on location in India, this Hindi-English series will be produced in partnership with Phantom Films. Both Vikramaditya Motwane and Anurag Kashyap are directing the series.
