Bringing one of the most controversial real stories for the digital audiences, Netflix will stream an eight episode series about the disappearance of three-year old Madeleine McCann in 2007. The toddler is believed to have vanished from a hotel room in Portugal’s Praia de Luz, while her parents dined at a nearby restaurant.
The series will feature new interviews with key investigators, but the parents – Kate and Gerry McCann – have refused to be part of it while the Metropolitan Police investigation is underway. Madeleine would now have been of 13 years.
Netflix has previously dabbled in this genre with Making a Murderer and the documentary on Amanda Knox. No release date has been announced for this docu-series.
