One of the biggest tropes of a romantic story is that love goes wrong. Several film makers have made some smashing films on this concept. Love going wrong is something that interests film makers and Netflix now brings to us You, a web series about a young man and woman who get into a relationship, and then it turns out that the guy has been stalking the woman on social networks to understand her and to get into a relationship with her.
The series stars Penn Badgley as the guy, Joe and Elizabeth Lail as Beck. Of course, Beck has a series of friends and some of them – as thrillers go – look mighty dyable. The supporting cast consists of Shay Mitchell, who plays Beck’s friend – the one who thinks that something is seriously wrong between Beck and Joe.
Netflix is amping up the content on their platform with newer and edgier content. With their big money spinners, the Marvel web series going out of the picture, Netflix will have more moolah to throw around and acquire content, films as well as web series. The series is based on the best-selling novel by Calorine Kepnes.
